Steve Hicks Joins Michael Williams for Congress
In the next election, Texas will have four additional seats in the U.S. Congress due to our state’s population growth. Congressional District 25, anchored in Austin, is a newly drawn open seat. It includes 13 counties from Hays County up to Tarrant County and contains State Capitol and the University of Texas. We need a strong leader to represent it.
I am writing to encourage you to support my friend Michael Williams for Texas Congressional District 25. There is no better candidate to represent Texas in Washington than Commissioner Williams, who has not only served all the citizens of this great state, but has also lived and worked in the heart of it for over a decade.
Michael knows his way around Washington, but is not a Washington insider. He has served at every level of government: in three Cabinet departments under two presidential administrations, as a statewide elected member of the Texas Railroad Commission, and as an assistant district attorney. He brings an unmatched base of support from the Republican grassroots, which is essential in a district representing 13 counties.
He is a former state prosecutor. He is a member of the National Rifle Association. He has been a conservative spearhead of the Texas Republican Party for years, serving as State Convention Chairman, State Platform Chairman, National Delegate, and Texas Victory Chairman.
I know I don’t have to tell you what a special leader we have here in Michael Williams. He is smart, sharp and able to communicate a wide range of issues from energy, to education, to national security, to health care. His optimism for the future is inspiring. He moves people into action. He is authentic and charismatic. And if you have heard him give a speech, you know exactly what I’m talking about.
More than ever, we are in need of a candidate who will fight for our freedoms, has demonstrated an ability to win, and will hold himself accountable to those who elect him. Michael is not only most qualified: he can win this election. With our help, he will win this race.
