They’ve gone from stealing hubcaps to stealing grease.

Police departments around the country are reporting an increase in the theft of, all things, old restaurant cooking oil.  The thieves are then refining it into homemade biodiesel.  Used cooking grease can be transformed into fuel through a chemical process which removes glycerine and adds methanol to the oil, leaving a thinner product that can power a diesel engine.

I can see it now, first Danny Zuko and the other Burger Palace Boys fill up on burgers and fries and then go out and fill up Kenickie’s used car, "Greased Lightning”, on none other than a vat of old cooking grease.  

Grease is still the word.
