Michael Williams signs taxpayer protection pledge

This past weekend, Michael Williams stood before the State Republican Executive Committee (SREC) and signed his name on the bottom line, pledging to protect taxpayers when he represents Texas in the United States Senate.

The pledge is offered by Americans for Tax Reform, led by Grover Norquist.  By taking this pledge, Williams promises to oppose any increases to the marginal income tax rate for individuals and businesses and any net reduction or elimination of deductions and credits, unless matched dollar for dollar by a further reduction of tax rates.

In remarks to the SREC prior to the signing, Williams said "The spending in Washington is out of control.  When I go to Washington, I want you to hold me accountable and remind me of the pledge I am making to you on this day."

I can't find out who Mr. Williams voted for in the last presidential election. Can anyone tell me?
Thanks,
Rod
